Harpreet Peleg

Harpreet Peleg is Chief Executive Officer of Building America CDE and also serves as Chief Financial Officer for the AFL-CIO Housing Investment Trust, a leader in impact investing.  Ms. Peleg has been an integral part of Building America’s operations since inception, having formerly served as its Chief Financial Officer.

Chris Kaiser

Christopher Kaiser is General Counsel for Building America, CDE. He also serves as the HITs Deputy General Counsel - Investments and Corporate. In his role, Mr. Kaiser handles a variety of legal matters related to real estate transactions, compliance, corporate governance, and regulatory matters.

Finance Manager

Alyssa Simon

Alyssa Simon serves as Finance Manager at Building America, CDE. In this capacity, she plays a key role in overseeing the finance, asset management, and compliance functions, ensuring the effective tracking and management of the financial aspects of each deal post-closing. Her responsibilities encompass loan servicing, monitoring interest and fee payments, initiating distributions, reconciling bank accounts, and maintaining comprehensive financial records for each sub-CDE.

Finance and Investment Teams

Corey Glassman

Corey Glassman is an integral part of the investment and finance teams at Building America CDE. Mr. Glassman focuses on project review, selection and underwriting and also assists with loan servicing and asset management. Additionally, Mr. Glassman serves as a Senior Valuation Analyst for Building America’s parent entity, the AFL-CIO Housing Investment Trust (HIT), where he is responsible for the valuation of the Trust’s 900+ portfolio holdings.
