Culinary Academy of Las Vegas - Las Vegas, NV

In 2025, Building America allocated $10 million in NMTCs to the construction of the $26.7 million facility for the Culinary Academy of Las Vegas (CALV). A partnership between the culinary workers’ and bartenders’ unions, CALV provides classes for those who are looking to enter the Las Vegas hospitality industry or build on their existing skillsets. Classes cover a variety of different lengths and subjects - examples include a three-week class providing students with the skills necessary to become a Guest Room Attendant at one of Las Vegas’ many hotels and a year-long Professional Cook Registered Apprenticeship Program. CALV is projected to serve 4,000 students annually, opening doors for its students to high-quality jobs with competitive wages and benefits.
