Building America

Building America invests in projects that create welcoming community spaces where residents can access a wide range of high-quality, accessible services delivered by trusted local partners.

For example, Building America allocated $8 million in NMTCs towards the construction of the $29.5 Wayman Palmer YMCA Community Hub in Toledo, Ohio. This facility was built with community needs in mind and will provide services like a food pantry and a youth mental health program in addition to standard YMCA offerings like fitness classes. Across all program offerings, the Wayman-Palmer YMCA is expected to serve 10,000 people annually.
