The Boys and Girls Clubs of Dorchester Fieldhouse+ project involves the new construction of a three-story, 75,000-square-foot community center in the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston, MA, with a total development cost of $75.9 million. The facility is being developed through a partnership between the Boys & Girls Clubs of Dorchester (BGCD) and the Martin Richard Foundation, which have worked together since 2014 to support children and families. The new facility will include purpose-built space for athletics, recreation, education, health & wellness and cultural programming, creating a modern, accessible community center designed to expand opportunities for young people and families in Dorchester.
BGCD was founded in 1974 and currently operates three Clubhouses serving more than 4,000 youth annually. The addition of the Fieldhouse+ to BGCD’s portfolio will allow the organization to serve an additional 500 members, plus 1,000 Boston Public Schools students annually. Through its programs and services, BGCD seeks to provide young people with opportunities that support their growth, development, and long-term success.
